WNBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Friday (8/16)

The WNBA regular season was away for almost a month due to the All-Star break and the Olympics. But now we’re back after three games yesterday. All three of yesterday’s games ended with a double-digit margin. Will the trend continue with tonight’s three-game slate?

It seems more unlikely. Therefore, below, we’ll add two of our favorite Same Game Parlays for today’s WNBA slate.

Phoenix Mercury vs. Indiana Fever

  • Leg 1: Aliyah Boston Over 16.5 Points (-128)
  • Leg 2: Brittney Griner Over 20.5 Rebounds (-102)
  • Leg 3: Sophie Cunningham Under 3.5 Rebounds (+108)

The Phoenix Mercury are already playing in the second game of a back-to-back after defeating the Chicago Sky by 20 last night. Brittney Griner added 23 points on 10-for-12 from the field in that game. With that, she’s added at least 21 points in 56% of games this season. In addition, Griner has scored at least 21 points in 75% of games against Indiana dating back to last year.

Meanwhile, Sophie Cunningham hauled in seven rebounds in that game. It’s why her line is now set at 3.5 for tonight’s matchup. Still, the numbers aren’t in her favor tonight. Cunningham has added four or more rebounds in just two of her last ten games.

Finally, before the break, Aliyah Boston dropped 17 or more points in three consecutive games. She also hit this line in seven of her last ten games and was really starting to gain chemistry with Caitlin Clark. I don’t think any of that will stop in the second half of the year.

Let’s add Boston to earn at least 17 points to close out this parlay with odds of +509.

Seattle Storm vs. Atlanta Dream

  • Leg 1: Nneka Ogwumike Over 17.5 Points (-122)
  • Leg 2: Rhyne Howard Under 3.5 Assists (-138)
  • Leg 3: Ezi Magbegor Under 8.5 Rebounds (-146)

Nneka Ogwumike is the second-leading scorer for the Seattle Storm. She scored at least 18 points in three of her last five games and 14 points in 24 minutes against Team USA in the All-Star game. She was starting to cook before the break.

However, Ezi Magbegor, Seattle’s center, has only hauled in nine or more rebounds in three of her last ten games. For example, she last played against the Los Angeles Sparks and grabbed only six rebounds in 31 minutes. In addition, Magbegor has had trouble adding rebounds at a high rate against Atlanta, earning nine or more rebounds in just 14% of games against the Dream since last season.

On the other hand, Rhyne Howard of the Dream has earned 3.4 assists per game. However, she’s heading into tonight’s game with four or more assists in only one of her last five games. We’ll take the Under to conclude this same game parlay at +405 odds.
