The WNBA playoff race is shaping up with seven of the eight teams already clinching and the season ending in less than a week. Now we wait to see the seeding battle. There is a solid slate of games with six different matches to analyze. When betting, monitor any news and shop around for the best odds. This is the best way to get ahead of the books. The difference between -110 and -120 may not seem big, but it’s a big difference throughout an entire season. Either way, let’s get to my favorite bets of the day.

Dallas Wings at Indiana Fever
It may seem insane to take an over for such a big number but there is good reason here. Since the All-Star break, no two teams have played at a higher pace than the Dallas Wings and Indiana Fever, both ranking one and two, respectively. In that same time, Dallas’ defense ranks last in the league and Indiana’s in the bottom half. The offensive numbers are even better for Indiana at home and it’s shown. In the two games these teams have played between each other, both games went over the total of 185.5. Dallas has consistently allowed 90-plus point outings and can put up points of their own, especially against teams like the Indiana Fever. This number has continued to climb but make sure to shop around because there are some solid values offered out there across the market. This will be a fun game to watch and a fun game to bet on as the Indiana Fever might score 110 points here this afternoon.
Pick: Over 185.5 Total Points (-110)
Atlanta Dream at Washington Mystics
It’s a specific bet, I know, but with the season winding down and the ample data available, it means we can get a lot more specific with finding an edge against the market. The Dream has been abysmal against opponents in the second quarter, ranking 10th in offensive rating but more importantly 11th in defensive rating, only not last due to the historically bad Los Angeles Sparks. In a full game, the Washington Mystics are ninth overall in offensive efficiency but that jumps to second overall in the second quarter. They take a bit to get their feet under them but figure it out before halftime. With this game being played at home, that’s another pro for betting on the Mystics here, who should be able to take advantage of Atlanta taking a step back with their road defense. Considering both teams are fighting for a playoff spot still, you can expect both teams’ A-games. I simply see the Mystics here as the benefactor of all-out play, especially in that second quarter where they should clear 20 points easily.
Pick: Mystics 2Q Over 19.5 Points (-110)
Minnesota Lynx at New York Liberty
For the most exciting game on the slate, I’m just riding the better team here. Minnesota and New York are fighting for the number one overall spot in the playoffs with the Lynx three games back. Minnesota is 9-1 in their last 10 with New York going 8-2 in the same time frame. The biggest standout split here is the home/road numbers. The Liberty are 16-2 at home this year with the Lynx going 12-6, that’s six of their nine losses. Since the All-Star break, the Lynx own the best defense at home but that drops to sixth on the road. The Liberty have faced Minnesota twice and most recently handled them by nine. This is an important game to solidify their place among the top of the league for New York and I simply don’t see them giving it up and letting it be close in a home game here.
Pick: Liberty -4.5 (-110)
