NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/14)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/14/24)

Season record: 169-105

Jusuf Nurkic (C – PHX): OVER 3.5 1st quarter rebounds

Nurkic has been starting hot for the Phoenix Suns, pulling down four or more rebounds in each of his last five games, averaging 6.8 over that stretch. He has averaged 5.4 rebounds in the first quarter over his last 10 games and 4.6 boards per first quarter in his last 15. Nurkic has hauled in four or more first quarter rebounds in each of his last six games and in seven of his last eight. Nurkic had five boards in the first against the Boston Celtics on Saturday. Jab the More on Jusuf for Thursday night.

Devin Booker (G/F – PHX): OVER 7.5 first quarter points

Booker continues to start hot for the Phoenix Suns, averaging 11.2 first quarter points over his last five games, hitting nine or more in four of them. Booker has drained nine or more points in nine of his last 12 games. He has averaged 11.3 first quarter points per game over his last 10 games. Booker missed the Suns’ only other contest against Boston this season, so we don’t have any head-to-head data to rely on, but Booker has been cooking enough to roll with trend and form tonight. Bump the More on Booker for Thursday night.

Kyle Kuzma (F – WAS): OVER 23.5 points

With Jordan Poole sent to the bench for play unbecoming an NBA player, Kuz is getting all the volume he can handle. He has scored 24 or more points in each of his last four games, putting up at least 18 shots in each. Kuz will have the green light again tonight, so barring a disastrous night from the field, Kuzma should hit at least 24 points, especially if he can find a friendly whistle. Hit the More on Kuzma for Thursday night basketball.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
