It would be patently wrong to suggest that Sunday’s game is going to be the biggest ever played between the Dallas Cowboys (10-3, 9-4 ATS) and Buffalo Bills (7-6, 5-8 ATS). After all, these two teams twice met in the Super Bowl. Oddsmakers expected it to be close though from a betting standpoint with Buffalo favored in the Cowboys vs Bills odds.
However, it would be correct to note that they’ll be facing each other coming off their biggest wins of the season. Buffalo went to Arrowhead and beat the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. At home, Dallas put a whipping on the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles to move into a share of the lead in the NFC East.
The Bills, though, are fighting for their playoff lives, still on the outside looking in as the NFL Playoff Bracket displays. Buffalo is a 2.5-point home favorite in the Cowboys vs Bills odds.

Dallas vs Buffalo Betting Trends
In the NFL public betting splits at the time of this writing, the Cowboys are getting 72% of spread handle, while the Bills are garnering 60% of moneyline bets. Dallas is 5-0 straight up in the past five games. In head to head meetings, the Bills and Cowboys are each 5-5 SU over the past 10 games.
While the Cowboys are 4-1 against the spread in the past five games, Buffalo is a dismal 2-7 ATS over the last nine contests. Dallas hasn’t won and covered in Buffalo since 1971.
Dallas has hit the over on the total in five of the last seven games. Seven of Buffalo’s last nine games have gone under.
Dallas is the third betting choice to win the NFC in the NFL Conference odds at +425. The Bills are set with fourth-best odds of +900 to wear the crown as AFC champions.

Cowboys Aren’t Road Warriors
The story of the season for the Cowboys isn’t exactly a tale of two cities. It’s more like a tale of one city and a bunch of other cities.
At home, Dallas is an impregnable force. The Cowboys are 7-0 SU this season. Going back to last season, Dallas has gone 15-0 SU in the past 15 home games.
The #DallasCowboys have proven they can beat teams with a winning record, now the next question the boys must answer, can you beat the good teams on the road?

Taking their show on the road is proving to be another matter for the Cowboys. Dallas is a 3-3 SU away from home this season. The Cowboys are 6-8 SU on the road in the past 14 games.
As an away underdog, Dallas is 0-2 ATS during the 2023 campaign. The only road wins this season by the Cowboys came against the Giants, Chargers and Panthers. Those three teams are a combined 11-29 SU.
Cook Cooking for Buffalo
Finding a steady running game is often viewed as one of the elements holding Buffalo back from Super Bowl contention. Since Joe Brady replaced Kenny Dorsey as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator, Bills RB James Cook is cooking.
While we're talking a lot about stopping Bills QB Josh Allen, don't sleep on RB James Cook. He's had 100+ total yards in each of Buffalo's last four games. Dallas is going to miss Johnathan Hankins this Sunday.

He might be the lesser-known of the Cook brothers after New York Jets RB Dalvin Cook, but lately James is the one who’s been cooking. He’s making a name for himself. He has gained 100+ yards from scrimmage in each of the past four games.
Brady is integrating Cook more into the passing game of Buffalo’s offensive scheme. Last week in the win over the Chiefs, Cook went for a career-high 83 yards in receptions.
Cowboys vs Bills Prediction
Buffalo has dominated this series of late. The Bills are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six times facing the Cowboys.
This season, the vaunted Dallas offense has accumulated just 142 points in the club’s six road games. Dallas has been held to single digits in three of the team’s past four visits to Buffalo dating back to 1984.
Cowboys vs Bills Picks: Buffalo Bills -2.5 (-110)
