2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Odds & Picks: Friday (7/28)

Matchday Two continues with some more of our top-notch teams trying to earn some respect and some non North American or European teams trying to make a name for themselves. The Group D Matchday fixtures saw two goals total, in 1-0 victories for Denmark and England, respectively. Is this a trend to follow, or was this a fluke? Only one way to find out! Here are July 28th’s plays.

2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Odds & Picks

Denmark vs. England

The class of Group D at this point have both been in solid form of late, but England has the upper hand as of their two head-to-head matchups, albeit with the most recent one being in 2019. Women’s soccer has garnered a much more enjoyable product, with many more teams capable of putting up a good fight, and this match is no exception. I feel like here I have to ride both teams’ streaks of low-scoring games and the trend of England beating Denmark.

The Pick: England/Under 2.5 Same Game Parlay (+174)

China vs. Haiti

China has climbed into a pretty prominent position within the Women’s soccer world, and this is a game that they cannot afford to lose at any cost. Not only do they need to win, but they need to gun for a big win to keep the goal differential high and then fight for a draw against big, bad England. With the projected outcome above putting England into a prime position to advance with just a draw, I would expect the Chinese to focus on winning and beating up on a Haiti team who should be proud to be here but can’t really compete with the Chinese.

The Pick: China 3-Way ML (-150)
